Product Review: Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color

So recently I've been getting more into lipstick for every day use. Because of this, I wanted to try different shades to see what I really liked without spending a fortune. This product is PERFECT for this because each tube is only $1.99!!! So you can basically try out a handful of shades for the same price as a higher end lipstick. I purchased the shade Bare It All (902C) before buying any others, just to make sure I liked the formula.

After wearing the shade for about a week, I have found that I do really like it for everyday wear! The color is a pretty light pinkish tone with nudish undertones. I love it because I can wear it to class every day without feeling like I look overdone. The only thing I have noticed with this lipstick (let me know if you have had the same problem?!) is that it does not go on super smoothly unless my lips are freshly exfoliated. The first time I put it on, it looked a little weird because my lips weren't 100% smooth. I exfoliated them quickly and put it on again and it looked great! This isn't really too much of a hassle, and with the two dollar price tag it is totally worth it... Can't wait to try this in the nude and red shades.

You can buy this at literally any drugstore or online here at drugstore.com!

Product Review: L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner

Ok, so I am a big fan of eyeliner and basically cannot go a day without it. I love to have my eyes pop and black eyeliner works great with my dark eyes without looking too overwhelming. I have tried many different brands of creamier eyeliners (from Urban Decay 24/7 to NYX) and usually am not too picky! I generally look for a liner that is blendable and creamy so it does not look harsh or too intense, but I also want something that will stay put and not smudge all down my face.

After using this liner for a few weeks, I have to say I am really enjoying it! It is dark enough to give the dramatic effect that I want, but can be easily smudged so as to not be toooo dark or aggressive. It is very pigmented, so even when I am using it over a shadow, it shows up very well ! It gives an effect close to liquid liner if I build it up on the lid. It is perfect for a smoky eye and works so well on the water line because of how pointy and thick the tip is. It also stays in place very well from what I have experienced (winter months only, will have to try it again in the summer!)

At first I thought the shape of the pencil was going to be annoying (cuz its fat and weirdly shaped) but it actually gives you more control over the pencil because it is shorter and a little thicker. It also comes with its own sharpener which is nice! It comes in black, gray and brown. It is not super cheap, but at $8.99 I think it is a pretty good deal! I purchased at Target, but you can also purchase product at Ulta Beauty online.

Will definitely be repurchasing this baby and adding it to my favorite liners! What are your favorite eye pencils?

Product Review: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation

I heard such great things about this foundation all over YouTube that I decided I HAD to try it! When I went to Target to pick up one for myself, I had such a hard time picking because there were so many shades and tones. When I first bought it I thought I had picked the perfect shade, but once I got home and applied it, it was soooo dark and looked horrible on. Snooki status basically. I ended up mixing it with a lighter colored foundation because I really did love the formula.

Since repurchasing the correct shade (Creamy Natural C3), I have worn this foundation every day. I absolutely love it! As far as drug store foundations go, this is the best experience I have had so far. It feels so light on my skin and looks really natural, and has a slightly dewy look to it. I have combination/oily skin and was worried that this foundation would cause my skin to look too oily, but that has not been the case at all! It is really buildable, which is great. I have been wearing it with no primer and just a light dusting of powder to set it, and it usually lasts me all day long. (My normal day starting at about 11 am and ending at like 9 pm.. college life haha) I even went to the gym today and it still looked great even after I was sweating it off... kinda gross I know.

Basically, I am in love with this foundation and cannot wait to try the concealer that is also a part of the L'Oreal True Match Lumi collection. I always obsess over finding the right drugstore foundation since I seem to go through them relatively quickly and my budget cannot handle me continuously shelling out $50 for high end options....This comes reasonably priced at $12.99!! You can purchase at any drugstore really, or online at Ulta.

Hope you enjoyed this review! Comment with any suggestions for future reviews or great products I should try next :)
